I am a Certified Transpersonal Hypnotherapist and I offer Hypnotherapy services in person and by phone.

Hypnotherapy is a method of healing that aims to relax your conscious or “thinking” mind, so that positive messages can be absorbed on a deeper level.

Hypnotherapy helps you to make meaning out of and even grow from difficulties you are currently facing or have experienced before.

How you feel during hypnotherapy is similar to daydreaming or that sleepy feeling you might experience right before you fall asleep. When you are relaxed, your mind is more open to positive, healing messages and your emotions are more accessible. You are always aware of what is happening during sessions and in complete control of yourself.

Hypnotherapy is a great option for individuals struggling with persistent relational and personal issues, or past trauma or unresolved past events. Hypnotherapy can also be used for unwanted habits, such as smoking or emotional eating.

Common Issues that respond well to Hypnotherapy are:

  • Relational issues
  • Unwanted habits such as smoking and emotional eating
  • Phobias and fears
  • Issues from childhood
  • Trouble accessing emotions
  • Healing from abandonment or neglect from childhood
  • Finding joy or inspiration

Hypnotherapy often brings insight to deep personal issues that traditional counseling cannot access. Hypnotherapy also involves working through difficult emotions, and creating new meaning from childhood or other past events. Thus, it aims to heal these psychological wounds instead of simply discussing them.

Hypnotherapy is different from Hypnosis in that the client is an active participant in the session, addressing and releasing toxic feelings and patterns, and is being gently directed toward their own meaning. In traditional hypnosis, the hypnotist is giving general suggestions, and there is no verbal participation from the client. In Hypnotherapy, the suggestions come from the client’s own unconscious, thus tailored to the specific needs of the client.

Hypnotherapy works best as a series of weekly sessions. As in traditional therapy, in 6-12 sessions, you should see some marked improvement or even resolution of your concern.
